Outline

Marking the fourth year of the annual “Enjoying Jewelry” series, this year will focus on “motifs.”

Motif jewelry uses specific subjects (motifs) such as flowers, the moon, horseshoes, etc.
With many symbolizing positive meanings, motifs have been popular throughout the ages.

Motifs are said to possess a unique charm that draws people in through the way they give expression to the jewelry-capturing the exact moment or emotions felt. This is in contrast to the appeal of conventional jewelry, which focuses on showcasing the gems, precious metals, or other raw materials used.

In this exhibition, "Wearing Nature" will set the theme with jewelry pieces that incorporate plants, creatures, and scenic elements into their designs. People will be able to contemplate nature and wear those emotions, expressing the richness of their hearts.

There are many "nature" inspired pieces created by companies, designers, and artists in Yamanashi, including magnificent landscapes, familiar flowers, and animals with funny expressions. We hope you will encounter jewelry with exciting designs that expand your imagination, leading you to the joy of actually wearing them.
