Museum Rules To make all our visitors’ museum visits enjoyable, please obey the following rules.

While in the museum, please refrain from the following

Do not touch the works on display.

Luggage and umbrellas are not allowed in the museum. You may carry only your personal valuables.

Use of fountain pens or ballpoint pens is strictly forbidden. Please use a pencil instead.

Please refrain from using mobile phones.

Please do not touch items on display, their frames, or the cases.

Do not run or shout while in the museum.

Taking photographs or videos or making sketches is not permitted.

Concerning food and drink

Eating (including candies and chewing gum) and drinking inside the museum are strictly forbidden.
Stow any beverage bottles in your bag and leave it at the reception desk.

To visitors with umbrellas

Long umbrellas may not be brought into the museum. Please use the umbrella stand.
Stow your folding umbrella in your bag and leave it at the reception desk.

To visitors with large luggage

Large luggage items may not be brought into the museum.
Please leave them at the reception desk.

To those taking notes

To protect the items on display, use of pens is prohibited inside the museum. Pencil sharpeners are also prohibited. You may borrow a pencil at the reception desk or from one of the staff.

Concerning smoking

Smoking is prohibited inside the museum.

Other rules

Pets may not be brought into the museum. An exception is made for service dogs assisting visitors with disabilities (seeing-eye dogs, hearing dogs, etc.)

*Good manners should be observed at all times to avoid disturbing other visitors.
