In Japan, fireworks are a very important tradition, mostly associated with summer and its numerous festivals.
But for those who want to see fireworks in other times of the year, good news! You will have the opportunity to watch wonderful pyrotechnics in the winter night, while contemplating Mt. Fuji on the background. The “Fuyu Hanabi - Kojô no Mai” invites you to a 20 minutes long Fireworks show on the top of Lake Kawaguchi.
When? Every Saturdays and Sundays at 8 PM, from January 15th to February 20th 2011.
Where? Kawaguchi-kohan Ooike Park (5 minutes by taxi from Kawaguchi-ko Station, Fujikyu-ko Line). There is a bus from Shinjuku Station that goes to Kawaguchi-ko Station (1,700 yens): Chûo Express Bus Fujigo-ko line 1117 (To Hirano)
