Yamanashi Journey: Fujikawaguchiko Autumn Leaves        Festival

By Jeffrey Fang (November, 2010)

The weather in Yamanashi has been very pleasant for the last two weeks. Even though today is still Friday, there were a lot of tourists from all over Japan and even other countries came to Kawaguchiko Lake to see the beautiful autumn leaves.

We came to Kawaguchiko at a very good time, the autumn leaves at the Momiji Corridor had just turned different colors. People walked relaxingly and restfully under the red, yellow, and green autumn leaves and talked about their impression of the beauty to each other. I think I finally understand why Japanese people care so much about the Koyo (autumn leaves) and cannot wait to enjoy other beautiful autumn leaves viewing spots in Yamanashi next year.
